My Story

Hi, I’m Audane!

I help female millennial bloggers and online business owners tap into their full potential and turn their blogs into businesses so they can live the life they were meant for.

This year, I have built up the online business of my dreams through blogging and finally feel I am living in my purpose, but this was not always the case…

After graduating from my bachelors degree in business administration and marketing I headed over to the corporate world with aspirations of climbing up that ladder and being a top level executive. I ended up specializing as a Website Analyst and spent most of my days analyzing some of the top multi-million dollar retail websites in the fashion retail world.

But after a few years of grinding and from the outside “living the dream,” I soon realized that I actually felt pretty unfulfilled. It was something that I had become good at, was making good money with and was living a “normal” acceptable life by society’s standards. But in reality, I just kept having a nagging feeling that I was meant to do something else. Something that lit me up and made me excited to wake up every morning. On top of that, I had racked up some serious student loan (and credit card) debt and was not happy with how long it would take me to pay it all off if I stayed on that path. I knew something had to change and during this whole time I had started a fashion blog that I was in love with and would spend most of my free time working on. After a while, I began planning my escape plan!

Wanting a break from the corporate world, I decided to pursue a Master’s degree in marketing abroad in the beautiful city of London. After spending over a year away studying and working, I came back to the states and had two choices. Go and get another job in corporate America as an analyst or give myself the chance to live the life I always imagined and pursue owning my own business.

So I took the plunge and decided that I would grow my passion, my fashion blog, thecurlista.com, into a business. I had been blogging for 3 years at that point and knew I was ready to take it to the next level. I began consuming mountains and mountains of information trying to figure out the best way to grow my audience and soon began to gain traction. I was pumped!

As my blog started to grow and gain traction, I realized that I had gone through my journey mostly alone and was regularly getting questions from other bloggers about how to grow their audience. This is when the idea for Bossy Woman was born. I created it as a platform to teach other bloggers how to rapidly grow their social media audiences and to teach other incredible women everything that I learned over the past 4 years of blogging.

After starting Bossy Woman, I realized that in order to take things to the level and serve my audience in an a greater way, I needed help. Trying to figure out how to properly market my offerings to my audience on my own was a huge waste of time and was so frickin stressful! After a couple of failures along the way, I was not ready to give up (this was not an option). I decided to hire a business coach, which at the time felt like the craziest thing I had ever done! I had no business putting money into a coach at that time, but I decided that success was my only option and the return would be 1000% worth it!

That is when everything changed for me. I don’t even recognize the girl who I was before working with a coach because so much has shifted in such a short amount of time. I now know the  value of believing in your skills and investing in yourself to create the change you desire. Having a coach has been a game changer for me and allowed me to reach goals that I never thought possible.

It feels insane to say but I am living out my purpose and the life that I only once dreamed about. I want to scream from the rooftops to everyone out there that this is also possible for you!

If you want to become the amazing boss you were meant to be and live your life fully on your terms, then details of my exclusive 1:1 business coaching can be found HERE.

I believe that everyone should get the opportunity to make their dreams their reality.
